What is the event about?
The Young Leaders Conference is an annual event, structured and designed to equip, empower, inspire and share proven principles that emerging leaders need for their leadership journey. The aim/purpose, mission and vision of the conference, is to be a platform that raises servant, value based and transformative leaders, and prepare every participant for great leadership, through the practical teachings that will be shared by the national and international guest speakers.
The first edition of the conference was held in Nigeria, West Africa, in 2019 with 5 keynote speakers, and discussion revolved around personal leadership, business leadership, political leadership, community leadership and administrative leadership.
Following what was a very successful conference in 2019, YLC2020 attracted registration globally! It was an online event, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, entitled “You Can Lead“ and it was attended by more than 100 people (over 600 registered). We expect it to grow year on year and be attended by mentees and graduates of our Leadership Programme, influential leaders from around the world, our team and those who are just beginning on their journey in leadership.
The Young Leaders Conference is an opportunity to network, raise awareness of our work, invite supporters and potential new leaders to find out about us and join the family. We have big plans to keep growing!
